'Art in the Dark ' Christmas Art Fair 2010 A fantastic opportunity to meet the artists, see their work and snap up a bargain at special festive prices. 12noon - 5pm, Sunday 5th December 2010, downstairs back bar, Telford’s Warehouse, Canal Basin, Tower Wharf,Chester. Vision Support. Chart is pleased to endorse Vision Support, the regional charity providing support and services to people with a vision impairment in Cheshire and North Wales. Vision Support's mission is to facilitate continued independance for individuals living with sight loss. 'three by three' pop-up exhibition and open studio project Pop-up Exhibition and Open Studio As part of the national initiative to bring new life to empty retail premises, and with the support of Cheshire West and Chester Council and Chester Renaissance, artists Jenny Ryrie, David Heke and Liz Ellis are creating a pop-up exhibition, and studio space, to showcase their work and working methods. They will be offering hands-on drop-in workshops and demonstrations to give an opportunity for the passing public to explore and access their own creativity. The event is open to the public daily from 11am to 6pm, Saturday 7 August to Saturday 14 August, at 63 Watergate Street, Chester. Chester Amphitheatre Project David Heke is currently project photographer at Chester Amphitheatre. The commision by Cheshire West and Chester Council run from October 2009 to August 2010. The current project involves the intepretation and reconstruction of the foundations of the walls of the two successive amphitheatres found during archaeological excavations in 2004-6, together with the base of the timber seating bank.
