Jenny Ryrie specialises in watercolour using a wide variety of techniques to push the boundaries of the medium.
She is interested in the emotion of colour and form and the connections between painting and other art forms such as music, dance and poetry. Other work explores mysticism within the natural world.
Her abstract and semi-abstract paintings are characterised by saturated colour, translucency and calligraphic line.
